Carlos Torres
Carlos Torres born in Monterrey, Mexico. During his young years he was involved in sports and played American Football, Tennis and Motocross. He studied Mechanical Engineering at Monterrey Tech, after graduating in 1988 he did his M.Sc., in Manufacturing Systems Engineering with special interest in Quality Control, at University of Wisconsin Madison.
Carlos started working full time at Industrial Orgánica, SA de CV (IOSA) in 1990 and since he has been involved in the research, development, production, and commercialization of carotenoids from natural sources. During the last 20 years he has been Director of IOSA leading a team of Carotenoid professionals and experts in this field to create new products and formulations for Human and Animal Nutrition, that are unique, very stable and robust and highly bioavailable that provide a competitive advantage to our customers, in over 26 countries worldwide.
José Torres
José Torres was born in Monterrey, Mexico, number six and eldest son in a family of eight. He studied Chemical Engineering at Monterrey Tech where he captained the American Football team for three years during which they won the Championship in two of them. After graduating in 1956, he did his M.Sc., also in Chemical Engineering, at the University of Wisconsin.
José formed his first company in 1956 and later he founded Industrial Orgánica, SA (IOSA) in 1966, followed by several other companies to support the work of IOSA.
The company is involved in the research, production, manufacture and purification of Carotenoids, extracted from locally grown marigold plants, to produce high quality formulations for Human and Animal Nutrition. Under his leadership, IOSA has been granted 14 US and WIPO patents for several unique processes and formulations.
Frédéric Jouhet
Frederic Jouhet is a French-born entrepreneur and sole owner of Avantius Group, an investment holding company for companies such as MacuHealth (ocular Supplementation) , Memory Health (nootropic), and Natura Medica, with products such as Vitreous Health (a solution for eye floaters) and TG Omega-3 Fish Oil.
Frederic served as a financial advisor and manager for several Wall Street firms.
A former law professor, he taught at several schools, including the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law and the University of Michigan. He holds a Master's in Banking and Business Law from the Université d’Auvergne Ecole de Droit et de Sciences Politiques, France, and a Master in Laws (LL.M.) from The University of Michigan Law School. Frederic also served as an officer in the French Navy before immigrating to the United States.
